Refund Policy

Effective Date: 01/20/2026

School Name: Rolling Hills Montessori

Rolling Hills Montessori establishes this Refund Policy to ensure clarity and fairness regarding tuition and fees. By enrolling a child, families acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Enrollment Fees
  • Enrollment, registration, and application fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • These fees secure a child’s placement and cover administrative and licensing-related costs.

2. Tuition Payments
  • Tuition is charged based on enrollment, not attendance.

  • No refunds or credits are issued for:

    • Absences due to illness, vacation, or personal reasons

    • School holidays, professional development days, or scheduled closures

    • Weather-related closures or emergency closures permitted by licensing authorities

3. Withdrawal by Parent/Guardian
  • Written notice of withdrawal is required in accordance with the notice period outlined in the enrollment agreement (commonly 30 days).

  • Tuition remains due during the notice period, whether or not the child attends.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused days or early withdrawal once the notice period has begun.

4. Withdrawal or Termination by the School
  • If Rolling Hills Montessori terminates enrollment due to non-payment, violation of policies, or inability to meet a child’s needs, tuition paid beyond the termination date will be refunded on a prorated basis, excluding non-refundable fees, unless otherwise stated in the enrollment agreement.

  • Immediate termination for serious policy violations may result in no refund.

5. Program Changes or Schedule Reductions
  • Changes to a child’s schedule must follow the procedures outlined in the enrollment agreement.

  • Tuition adjustments apply prospectively and are not retroactive.

  • No refunds are issued for reduced schedules once a billing period has begun.

6. Temporary Closures and Force Majeure
  • In the event of temporary closure due to circumstances beyond the school’s control (including natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government-mandated closures), refunds or credits will be determined at the discretion of Rolling Hills Montessori, consistent with licensing guidance and operational sustainability.

7. Overpayments
  • Any confirmed overpayment will be applied as a credit to the next billing cycle or refunded upon written request.

8. Method of Refund
  • Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment whenever possible.

  • Processing time for refunds may take up to [10–30] business days.

9. Policy Acknowledgment

Enrollment at Rolling Hills Montessori constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of this Refund Policy.
