School Name: Rolling Hills Montessori

By enrolling a child at Rolling Hills Montessori, parents and legal guardians agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and consistent Montessori learning environment for all children, families, and staff.

1. Enrollment and Eligibility

Enrollment is granted upon submission of all required forms, payment of applicable fees, and approval by school administration.

Children must meet age, developmental readiness, and licensing requirements for their program.

Rolling Hills Montessori reserves the right to determine appropriate classroom placement in alignment with Montessori philosophy and licensing ratios.

2. Tuition and Fees
-
Tuition rates are established annually and are due according to the agreed-upon payment schedule.

Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance, and is payable regardless of absences, holidays, or school closures permitted by licensing.

Late payments may result in late fees or suspension of care.

Returned payments may incur additional fees.

Rolling Hills Montessori reserves the right to revise tuition rates with reasonable advance notice.

3. Attendance and Schedule
-
Families are expected to adhere to their contracted schedule.

Drop-off and pick-up times must be respected to maintain classroom continuity and staff ratios.

Late pick-ups may result in additional fees as outlined in the Parent Handbook.

Authorized pick-up persons must be listed in the child’s file and present valid identification when requested.

4. Health, Safety, and Illness

Rolling Hills Montessori follows the California Community Care Licensing Department health and safety regulations.

Children must be excluded from school if they show signs of contagious illness, fever, vomiting, or other symptoms outlined in the Health Policy.

Required health records, immunizations, and emergency forms must be kept current.

The school reserves the right to require a child to be picked up if they become ill during the school day.

5. Medication Policy

Medication will be administered only when required forms are completed in accordance with California licensing regulations. Rolling Hills Montessori only administers Epiphen and nebulizer treatments.

All medications must be in original containers with proper labeling.

Staff reserve the right to decline administering medication if documentation is incomplete.

6. Montessori Philosophy and Guidance

Rolling Hills Montessori practices respectful, non-punitive guidance consistent with Montessori principles and California regulations.

Physical punishment, humiliation, or threats are strictly prohibited.
-
Families agree to support the school’s approach to independence, grace and courtesy, and respectful communication.

7. Behavior and Developmental Support

Montessori education supports individual development at each child’s pace.
-
If a child’s needs exceed what the school can safely or appropriately provide, the school may request a conference, additional support, or alternative placement.

Rolling Hills Montessori reserves the right to terminate enrollment if a child’s continued attendance poses a risk to themselves, others, or the learning environment.

8. Parent Conduct and Communication

Respectful communication between families and staff is required at all times.

Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior toward staff, children, or families will not be tolerated and may result in termination of enrollment.

Concerns should be addressed through scheduled conferences rather than during classroom transitions.

9. Photographs and Media
-
Photos and videos may be taken for educational documentation and communication purposes.
-
Use of images for promotional materials requires written parental consent.

Families may withdraw media consent at any time in writing.

10. Personal Belongings
-
Children should come dressed appropriately (in the school's uniform code) for indoor and outdoor activities.

Personal toys and valuables should not be brought to school unless approved by staff.

Rolling Hills Montessori is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

11. Termination of Enrollment
Enrollment may be terminated by either party as follows:

By Parent/Guardian

Written notice is required in accordance with the notice period outlined in the enrollment agreement.

Tuition is due during the notice period.

By School
-
Rolling Hills Montessori may terminate enrollment immediately for non-payment, violation of policies, unsafe behavior, or failure to comply with licensing requirements.

Termination decisions are made in the best interest of the child and school community.

12. Licensing and Compliance

Rolling Hills Montessori is licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.
-
Licensing reports are available for review upon request.
-
Families have the right to contact Community Care Licensing with concerns.

13. Liability and Assumption of Risk
-
Families acknowledge that participation in school activities includes inherent risks.
-
Rolling Hills Montessori is not liable for injuries except as required by law.

Parents agree to hold the school harmless to the extent permitted by California law.

14. Policy Updates
These Terms & Conditions may be updated as necessary to reflect changes in licensing requirements or school operations. Families will be notified of significant changes.

15. Agreement
By enrolling a child at Rolling Hills Montessori, parents and guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
